The Winton Opal Festival is back in 2025 showcasing our fabulous Boulder opal.
Friday 11th July and Saturday 12th July @ Elderslie Street
Ed: The Winton Opal Festival, a prestigious event located in the heart of Queensland’s opal mining region, takes place in the town of Winton. Organized biennially by the Queensland Boulder Opal Association (QBOA), the festival attracts both professional dealers and opal enthusiasts from the general public. The business centre of Winton, will be closed to all traffic during the 2-day event.
- Traders will set up on both sides and also on the middle grass strip, between Werna & Oondaroo Streets.
- There is plenty of room to set up a gazebo and leave your car on site. If you have a larger vehicle, please advise how much room you will require.
- Entry Proof of Public Liability is required.
- No powered sites or security are available.
- Book your accommodation early as this is the peak tourist season in Winton.
